Text Messages and Communication Preferences

At COPC, we offer convenient ways to stay connected with your healthcare team. You can opt-in text reminders to help manage your care, including confirming, canceling, or checking in for appointments. You'll also get notifications about upcoming appointments, bills, payments, test results, and more.

How to Subscribe to Text Messaging

Text START to 24859 to get text messages about your care, such as appointment reminders and notifications about new test results.

Text START to 24196 to get text messages about billing and payments.

To opt-out of automated messages from COPC, you can text “Stop” to 24859 or 24196 or control your status via your Communication Preferences within your MyChart account.

How to Update Communication Preferences in MyChart

  • From the MyChart homepage, open the menu in the top left corner.
  • Select Account Settings > Communication Preferences.
  • To review which notifications are delivered by each contact method, expand the communication concept types listed under Details.
    • For example, you’ll see categories like Appointments, Messages, Health, and Billing. Each is its own communication concept type, allowing you to choose how you’d like to receive notifications for each.
  • Within an expanded communication type, select Advanced Settings to view and update specific notification preferences.
Send a message, connect virtually, or arrange to follow up with a doctor in person, depending on the level of care you need.
